Dr. Sue Forster-Cox, BHC Member-New Mexico, participates at the 41st National Institute Conference on Social Work & Human Services in Rural Areas

07-05-2016 - Dr. Sue Forster-Cox, U.S.-Mexico Border Health Commission (BHC) Member-New Mexico and Associate Professor, Department of Public Health Sciences, New Mexico State University, will participate in the 41st National Institute Conference on Social Work & Human Services in Rural Areas which is hosted by the University of Texas at El Paso College of Health Sciences and Department of Social Work in partnership with the National rural Social Work Caucus and the Kellog Fellows Leadership Alliance from July 6-8, 2016.

The conference addresses the important relationship between social work and public health, including a variety of topics such as the role of the social worker in managing chronic illness, mental health in rural communities, sustainability, capacity building and other common areas of collaboration.
