January 4, 2010 - BHC 2010 Goals and Actions
On behalf of the Priority Setting Committee, the United States-México Border Health Commission (BHC) wishes to share its top priorities for 2010. These priorities are as follows:
• Tuberculosis
• Obesity and diabetes
• Infectious disease and public health emergencies
• Strategic planning
• Access to care
• Research, data collection, and academic alliances
The Priority Setting Committee initially met in October 2008 to establish a process for priority setting that included seeking input from public and private partners and the general public on both sides of the border.
The outcome of this process has resulted in a number of specific activities planned for the coming year.
