United States - Mexico Border Health Commission

Tuberculosis (TB) represents a considerable public health challenge for binational border states and their citizens, as it is one of the most critical infectious diseases prevalent along the U.S.-México border. Due to its impact in the border region, TB prevention and barriers to TB control are key BHC priorities.

To reduce the burden of TB in binational border communities, the BHC facilitates and supports various activities intended to advance cross-border cooperation in TB surveillance, control, education, prevention, and case management.

The next U.S.-México Border TB Consortium will be held in El Paso, Texas, on June 2, 2015.
