Dr. Jaime León Varela
Sonora Member Dr. Jaime León Varela has been at the helm of the Dirección General de Coordinación Sectorial (General Directorate Office of Regional Coordination) in the State of Sonora since 2005.Previously, Dr. León Varela’s posts included: Staff Physician for the Secretariat of Health; State Coordinator of Epidemiology Programs; Undersecretary of the Planning Unit; Private Secretary for the State Health Director; Technical Analyst for the State Government; Director of Planning of the State Health Services; and Chief of the Analysis Department of the Population and Housing Program from 1992 to 1993.
Dr. León Varela received his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (National Autonomous University of Mexico), and his Master’s in Organizational Administration and Educational Development from the Secretaría de Educación de Guanajuato (Secretary of Education of Guanajuato) in Queretaro.Contact Info:
