Bruce D. San Filippo, M.D., M.M.M.
New Mexico Member Bruce D. San Filippo has served as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Memorial Medical Center, Las Cruces, New Mexico, since 2000. Dr. San Filippo has also served, since coming to Memorial Medical Center, as Chief of Staff, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer. He retired from active private practice of neurological surgery in 2005, having practiced since 1982 in Las Cruces.
Dr. San Filippo received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, and pursued neurosurgical training at the University of Iowa and Albany Medical College.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, the New Mexico Medical Society, and the American College of Physician Executives. In support of the New Mexico Office of Border Health, Dr. San Filippo serves as an ex-officio member of the New Mexico Border Health Council.
Dr. San Filippo was appointed member of the U.S. Section, U.S.-México Border Health Commission, in 2006 and serves as the Co-Chair of the Budget Committee. He is also a member of the Communication and Outreach Work Group.
