Dr. Jorge Sebastián Hernández Rodríguez
Delegate for Dr. Mansur Arzola Dr. Jorge Sebastián Hernández Rodríguez is the Assistant Director for Planning and Evaluation of the General Directorate of Sector Planning and Coordination of the Secretariat of Health. From 1985 to 1998 he was Coordinator of the Breast and Cervical Cancer, Accidents and Disasters, Addictions and Mental Health Programs; from 1990 to 2000 he was Chief of Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology for the State of Tamaulipas; and from 2001 to 2004 he was Chief of the Health Promotion Department, Assistant Medical Director for the Popular Insurance Program (Programa del Seguro Popular) in the State of Tamaulipas and creator of the Medical Model for the Beneficiaries of the Program, as well as of the Billing System by event for the hospitals of the Secretariat of Health System. He is also the Binational Health Projects Coordinator since 1991.
He received his Medical Surgeon degree from the School of Medicine of Tampico of the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (Autonomous University of Tamaulipas) and in 1989 received his masters in Public Health from the School of Public Health of Mexico, now known as the Instituto Nacional de Salud Pública (National Institute of Public Health), in 1989.
He is founder of the Master in Public Health Program of the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas and President of the Tamaulipas Association of Public Health, A.C.
